It is estimated that the total global aluminum consumption will reach 110 million tons in 2020, and the global total consumption of recycled aluminum will also increase significantly. However, there is still a big gap between China and developed countries in terms of recycled aluminum consumption. Among them, the recycled aluminum in the transportation sector is more than 20%, and the recycled aluminum for packaging is more than 10% (the can recycling cycle is almost zero). Therefore, China's reclaimed aluminum consumer market still has a large room for improvement, which is an important opportunity for the development of recycled aluminum.
The data shows that more than 70% of reclaimed cast aluminum alloys in Europe are used in the manufacture of parts for the automotive, motorcycle and transportation sectors. More than 80% of ordinary aircraft are made of aluminum alloy, and the amount of Airbus A380 aluminum alloy exceeds 60%; the average aluminum alloy consumption of passenger cars has exceeded 150 kg. From the packaging materials, recycling 13 aluminum beverage cans can save 1 kilogram of gasoline. If every Chinese recycles one aluminum can in a year, it will save 100 million kilograms of gasoline a year. Therefore, the future development direction of China's recycled aluminum industry will be in the field of transportation and aluminum packaging materials.
